6. How long will it take my organization to receive payment?

Timing of funds being issued will be dependent on the recipient and method of payment. We process payments either via cheque or electronic funds transfer (EFT). Payment can only be issued once a formal agreement has been signed by both parties. Following this, it can take at least 2 weeks for cheque payments to be received. EFT payments can be issued much quicker. If you plan to work with GSK for multiple events, it is highly recommended you set up EFT payments to facilitate more efficient payment.

7. What is the difference between conference sponsorship and independent medical education?

If the funding request offers any sort of commercial benefits (e.g. booth or complementary conference registration) in exchange for sponsorship, the request is a Conference Sponsorship and will be assessed by the conference sponsorship team. Please submit requests to their group mailbox,

If the funding request does not include commercial benefits or opportunities for funders, it may qualify as medical education. Medical education programs are targeted at Health Care Professionals (HCPs) (e.g. physicians, nurses, pharmacists, etc.) and must be educational in nature.
